Blue Water Cruiser Association - Calgary Fleet, AB

The mission of Bluewater Cruising Association is to foster seamanship and friendship for people with an active interest in offshore cruising. They achieve this by providing a forum for communication and information exchange among members through regular meetings, social events and especially, the Association's widely acclaimed publication "Currents". BCA's membership is diverse and includes a wide range of experience: "Donors", who have returned home after completing an offshore passage; "Doers", who are still out there cruising; and "Dreamers", who are considering or actively planning an offshore adventure.

Foothills Association of Cruising Sailors - Calgary, AB

Foothills Association of Cruiser Sailors (FACS) is a Calgary based sailing club that meets through the sailing "off season" to socialize, plan for the next year's sailing adventures, and lie about past years'. Each monthly social has a sailing-related presentation or activity designed to help members make it through to the next spring. FACS is a member club of the Alberta Sailing Association. Many of our members own trailerable sailboats, a few own larger coastal cruisers, and several are charterers and racers. FACS organizes one or two cruises per year to nearby lakes or to the Pacific coast of British Columbia and Washington. FACS holds their monthly socials on designated Fridays. Guests are welcome. Please see their web site at
